History
Dan Malouin founded Davis & Wells Inc. in 1990. The original business
was to sell parts and service for Davis & Wells' type woodworking machinery
- an old line of woodworking machinery, manufactured in the U.S. from
1935 to 1983.
Although Davis & Wells type of machinery was no longer being manufactured
in the U.S., it remained a popular brand for industrial woodworking
because of its simple design, superior cast-iron construction, durability
and precision. There was an opportunity for sale of spare and replacement
parts for these machines to the thousands of owners of Davis & Wells
throughout the United States.
Our core business has now transitioned to include the buying, selling
and refurbishing most American and European brands of used industrial
woodworking machinery.
